Three wavelengths, one device

Why tri-wavelength matters.

Most diode systems competitors send to independent practices are single-810 platforms — effective on Fitzpatrick I–IV, riskier on darker skin where 808 nm's melanin absorption climbs. The HR-LASE™ fires 755 nm, 808 nm, and 1064 nm simultaneously, which is why Fitzpatrick I–VI coverage holds across the entire scale. Single-810 buyers refer Fitzpatrick V–VI patients out or buy a second machine; tri-wavelength buyers don't. Here's what each wavelength does.

755 nm — Alexandrite

Shallow penetration. Targets fine hair and lighter skin. Best for Fitzpatrick I – III. Higher melanin absorption gives faster results on lighter complexions.

808 nm — Diode

Mid-level penetration. The workhorse wavelength. Effective on most hair types and skin tones. Compatible with Fitzpatrick I – V.

1064 nm — Nd:YAG

Deep penetration. Safe on Fitzpatrick IV – VI. Targets coarse, dark hair without the burn risk on darker skin that single-wavelength systems carry.

Technical specifications

The numbers, straight from the manufacturer.

Directly from the manufacturer — no marketing interpretation. Bring a Candela or Lumenis quote to the call and we'll compare line by line.

Only laser with FDA clearance on all three wavelengths. 755 nm + 808 nm + 1064 nm. Most competitor diode systems carry hair-removal clearance on 810 nm only. Tri-clearance is the regulatory edge — not just a hardware spec.

Service & support

One phone call when something needs attention.

You call the Alderm Direct team. The team that sold you the unit picks up — no regional rep handoff, no ticket queue. Most diode-laser service calls resolve in the diagnostic conversation; parts ship direct when something needs swapping; on-site service is scheduled when the diagnosis genuinely calls for hands. The HR-LASE™ ships with a manufacturer 2-year warranty (full terms on request).

Where it sits in the market

Where the HR-LASE™ lands against Candela, Lumenis, Cynosure, and Alma.

Same hardware class as the brand-name tri-wavelength platforms — factory-direct through Alderm Direct, without the distribution layer in between. Full side-by-side breakdown on the comparison page.

Frequently asked

The questions that come up on every call.

Straight answers. If something isn't covered here, ask the team directly.

Is the HR-LASE™ (FG2000B) FDA cleared?

Yes. The HR-LASE™ (FG2000B) is FDA cleared for hair removal on all three wavelengths — 755 nm, 808 nm, and 1064 nm. Clearance documentation is available on request; we'll share it directly on the call.

Is this the same machine other brands rebadge?

Most tri-wavelength diode lasers come from a handful of OEM manufacturers. Some brand-name systems source comparable hardware from OEMs, apply their own casework and branding, and price accordingly. We source the HR-LASE™ directly from the manufacturer — no rebrand, no added margin. Bring a Candela or Lumenis spec sheet to the call and we'll compare side by side.

What's the operator training requirement?

State-specific. In most US states, a licensed medical professional — MD, DO, NP, PA, or RN, depending on the state — operates or supervises Class II laser equipment. Initial operator training is included with the purchase. We can give you a summary of requirements for your state on request.

How does service work if something breaks?

You call us. We figure out what's wrong, ship parts if needed, and get someone there if the fix requires hands-on work. The 2-year manufacturer warranty covers the first two years. This isn't an enterprise SLA — it's a direct line to the team that sold you the unit. If you need a 24/7 ticket queue and a field-service territory rep, the major brands offer that. We don't pretend to.

What's the typical lead-time from order to delivery?

30 days standard, from order to delivery. We'll confirm against current inventory at quote stage.

Can I see one before I buy?

Yes. Walkthroughs run as live video — typically 30 minutes — or in-person depending on location. The Alderm Direct team handles every conversation directly. Request a quote here.

Why is the price so much lower than Candela or Lumenis?

Three things drop out of the price when you go factory-direct: distributor margin, regional rep overhead, and trade-show costs amortized into the list price. Same hardware class. The savings aren't a discount — they're structural. More detail on Why Alderm Direct.

Ready to see it?

30 minutes. Live video or in-person. We walk you through the unit, answer every question, and give you a quote. No sales team in between.
